EVOLUTION DIET: The World’s Most Advanced, Highly Awarded, Safest Pet Foods & Nutrient Compounds for Disease
We have been in operation for over 30 years, and we have positively impacted a great many people and animals. Comments on this page belong to a few of our customers, of which there are thousands, and the comments speak to what Evolution Pet Food has helped them and their furry friends achieve.
My 9-month-old cat has been eating Evolution for most of his life now; I transitioned him shortly after I adopted him. He’s doing extremely well; he eats Evolution every day and loves it. His coat is glossy and he has crazy kitten energy.
I very recently rescued an adult cat, and I’m slowly transitioning her from conventional cat food to this. (When I first brought her home, she wouldn’t eat for two days and was extremely skinny.) I also was taking care of a friend’s cat for a week, and when I saw she wasn’t eating her own food, I brought a baggie of the Evolution kibble, which she was interested in, and then ate.
Most of all, I want my cats to eat this food because it’s healthier for them; it doesn’t contain the waste animals, beaks, hair, and ear tags that all pet foods (even premium) can contain–and is nutritionally complete, with the protein and amino acids they need. As a plus, it’s a tasty food they like; when water is added–which it should be, to prevent dehydration–it’s economical, too.
It’s a great deal all around!
My pets (2 Dog and 2 Cats) have been on Evolution Diet for 8 years. Both my dogs and my cats love the food and have been on it since they were 4 months old. My younger cat was very sick when I brought her home and I was nervous about putting her on a vegei diet until she was well. My Vet uses this product and recommended that I switch right away because it’s such a high quality food. Once I put her on Evolution she had a speedy recovery. Everyone that has had contact with my pets have made comments on how beautiful their fur is.
Sometimes I think my dog eats the best food in the house. My dog is over 10 years old, she acts like she’s half her age and her coat is beautiful and glossy. She has eaten this dog food for almost all her life and I attribute this dog food to taking such good care of her. For the price, you get a lot – it actually works out to be cheaper than any other vegetarian dog food on the market that I’ve found. It’s just the best dog food. Every dog deserves to feel goodBon Apetit, doggie!
All 7 of my rescued poodles LOVE this food. One of them has allergies to pretty much everything, but not this food. And all of them are picky eaters, but they all devour their Evolution Pet Food! I have fed this to puppies under a year old all the way up to my oldest who I assume is around 15 years or so. I also fostered a kitten for a few months and she loved the cat food. I highly recommend!
Beau, my kitty, loves your food and he is healthy and happy! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your product. Every time the Vet tries to sell me food when I take him in for his yearly check up she can’t believe he’s 15 and looks so good. I smile and say thank you and no I’ll feed him myself.
My other cat lived to about 20 years old on Evolution Pet Food. I wouldn’t feed my “furry kids” anything else!! I’m vegetarian too and it only helps the earth to keep it that way – the veggie way.
When I say Evolution Pet Food saved my cat’s life, I mean it in the literal sense!
Molly is now 5 years old. She was born with a condition known as Eosinophilic Linear Granuloma and is allergic to animal protein. The prognosis on this condition is “poor”. Because she developed lumps on her body she was biopsied twice, always with the same result…linear granuloma. In the past four years she has been on every single source protein diet known to the veterinary community as well as on hydrolyzed protein…all have failed to keep the condition from recurring. I should add that she was on LARGE doses of prednisone for most of this time.
Finally, in February of 2004, after she began to develop lip and mucous membrane lesions even though she was receiving 20 mg. of prednisone daily, I said enough is enough…we either go vegetarian or be euthanized.
After some web searching I found Evolution Pet Food. In early March of this year I started her on canned Vegetable Stew and Gourmet Entree, as well as Gourmet Pasta kibble. She took to the food immediately. Within 2 weeks the lip lesions were gone. Within 6 weeks I had her weaned off of prednisone.
Molly has been symptom free for 8 months now and appears to be a healthy cat and appears to thrive on her vegetarian diet. As treats, I sometimes give her baked squash, garbanzo beans or tofu and she loves it all.
The veterinary community has tried to treat this condition by “controlling” it with steroids and diet. In Molly’s case it didn’t work. I wish there was some way to inform the veterinary community about the success of a nutritionally approved vegetarian diet for animals with this allergic condition. I certainly am doing it with the vets I have dealt with in the past couple of years.
Again, both Molly and I thank you for being a “life-saver”
I have been a customer for over 14 years and would like to say ‘Thank You’ for developing Evolution Pet Food. I have an 18 yr. old German Shepard and a 19 yr. old Bassett Hound. Having dogs this old could be a real chore, but it is not. My two “kids” not only look much younger than they are: They also act much younger than they are.
When I take them to the veterinarian, which is only for shots and dental work by the way, he is so impressed. My vet always tells me, “Whatever you are doing: Keep it up! I have never seen dogs this old look so good and act so much younger than their years!”
When you first told me that dogs and cats can live much longer and healthier on the Evolution Pet Food, I was dubious. That was almost eleven years ago. I have no doubts in my mind whatsoever now. I can hardly believe it myself!
My dogs really act like they are still about six years old and they are both in their late teens. They still run and roll over almost like they did when they were puppies. My wife thinks I have the green thumb when it comes to dogs. I have no doubt that they will both probably live to 20 or more. Thank you again for making this wonderful food. I love my dogs and you are helping me to love them much longer.
I am writing to let you know how happy I am with your pet food. My seven year old rottweiller, named Gretta, was extremely overweight and lethargic. She refused to go on walks with me, even if it was just to the mailbox. We tried to exercise her countless times with no success. If we tried to get her playing by throwing a ball, she would just lie down in exhaustion while leaving the ball roll out of the yard. Her coat was oily and yet flaked. If I washed her, her coat would be oily in a week. There was no hint of the personality she had when she was a pup.
After I started feeding Evolution, she immediately started to change! I can not believe the improvements she has made! Over the past several weeks she has lost 20 lb., her coat is not oily, she has a twinkle in her eye and a sparkling new personality! Now she loves to go on walks (way beyond the mailbox!) and loves to play for hours. This is the dog we used to have. She’s the one that jumps off her bed to greet us excitedly when we get home. I knew there was a happy loving dog in her before, but we just couldn’t find that joy. Evolution Pet Food has helped my dog tremendously. Because I have seen such great results in only 8 weeks, I have referred several of my pet owning friends to you. I know that they will have as much success as we have. Thank you again: Your dedication to pets is appreciated more than you know!
Just a note of sincere thanks for helping Buster, our 13-year-old cocker spaniel– he’s a changed dog! After using Evolution Pet Food for thirty days, his hot spots are ninety-nine percent eliminated.
Having spent years and lots of dollars trying to diagnose the problem, we were almost certainthat his diet was the contributing factor. In the past, when we fed him a homemade meal (approved by our veterinarian), we noticed a big improvement in his coat and skin. So my wife and I are extremely happy to learn about Evolution Pet Food, and we have now started Pepe (Buster’s sister) on this food plan.
Thank you for your compassionate concern for the animals and for your research into developing a nutritious diet for our canine friends.
My husband and I would like to thank you for rushing out my order of Evolution Diet Cat Health Food. My cats are very happy (as happy as two cats can be) that they don’t have to miss a meal of their Evolution food.
We really appreciate what your company does. We are thankful we have found Evolution Pet Food. Thank you so much for rushing out my last order. It is one more thing that makes us respect your company. I am proud to be your customer.
You may be pleased to know that, of my two cats, the one who needs the Evolution Pet Food Health Cat Food most urgently has accepted it most readily. As I make the transition from the prescription cat food she had been eating, I can tell she is already beginning to “even out” significantly in how she feels overall, her appetite and consumption of food and water, less discomfort moving about, and more regular use of the box. I am very pleased. Thank you for making this food!
Thank you for caring enough to develop Evolution Pet Food Health Dog Food. My nine year old angel was tired, achy, stiff and depressed. I put her on Evolution and watched her transform day by day. Before long, she was running, jumping, and doing figure eights around the yard. She had not been able to get up on the sofa, but now she can jump up onto the bed! She even gets out toys and plays like a puppy! Everyone who loves animals should know about Evolution Pet Food.
Our cat, Gray Cloud, is extremely happy with his Evolution Diet food and every one of our friends and their pets that we’ve shared about your products are also. I’d like to see your products distributed as openly and widely as possible because there are so many people who are unaware that our pets can live healthy and long vegetarian lives. Thank you for your great products and service.
I’ve been using this food for my three dogs for probably at least ten years–two rescue collies and one chinook rain. (A mix? From a dog pound.) They all love it. I add some warm water, sometimes enough to make it into a bit of a stew, and some carrots or some other vegetables. It is concentrated and so I use no more than about 2/3 of what I’d otherwise use.
My 2 boxers and pit bull mix go crazy for this food!!! They LOVE it!! So happy for a KIND FOOD that they love and is so very good for them!!!! Thanks for this great choice!!
My dogs have been eating Evolution for about the past 5 years. People always remark about how gorgeous their coats are and ask me what I do, that I must brush them and bathe them all the time. I do neither. People also can’t believe my older dog is 9 because she looks and acts so young. They still love the food after all this time. I usually mix in a little canned, which Evolution also sells. The only thing I wish for that could improve it would be for it to be organic.
I have 2 Chihuahuas – The first one I got as a puppy 9 years ago and the second one I got from a rescue a few years ago when she was already 7 years old. I started feeding Evolution to my first dog at least 6-7 years ago when I first found out about it. I’ve been a vegetarian for 10 years, so I wanted a healthy option for my dog, too! It disgusts me to know what ingredients are in other dog foods, and I can’t fathom feeding that to my dogs. My theory is if I wouldn’t consider eating it, why would I feed it to my dogs?
My first dog has always had a smooth shiny coat that gets many compliments from vets and others, she never smells bad or “dog-like”, and her breath is never bad. It actually smells good. I attribute all that to Evolution. Being 9 years old, she still acts like a puppy. She is full of energy and very healthy.
My second dog, when we first got her, was smelly and her coat was very rough. Since she switched to Evolution, all that has changed. She doesn’t smell bad, neither does her breath, and her coat has gotten much softer and healthier-looking. Now only if Evolution could stop her from shedding…
Overall – I’m expecting that my dogs will live happy and healthy lives from eating Evolution pet food, and I’m so glad this product is available!
Our dogs have skin issues, so the Dr. Vet recommended Evolution dry veggie dog food. We mix the evangers veggie cans with the Evolution dog food, and the dogs love it. They have 2 flavors for the doggies in Evolution, the dogs like both. It’s easy to digest and the dogs say it’s tasty. Woof Woof LOL, Just wish we could get the Evolution in a store close by instead of ordering to ship. It’s heavy so they have to charge shipping. We love the product as well as the doggies.
My dogs love this food. They have been eating it for years and are healthy and shiny.
My dog loves it, and is a picky little Frenchie. I love that I am not killing more helpless animals needlessly.
My dog likes it! I mix it with some buffalo food also for the time being though.
My dogs love it! They have been on it for 7 months and doing better than before. I would highly recommend this food to friends. Ships pretty quick too.
We started using this food in April 2007 after a recommendation from a person who raises and breads AKC dogs that compete in prestigious dog shows. I had told her how my cat developed allergies to most foods and really wasn’t doing well with the Hill’s Low-Allergen z/d Prescription Diet food. Mind you, we always fed our cat premium cat foods.
So, after ordering a $19.95 intro pack from Evolution Diet, we were thrilled to see our cat immediately embrace the dry vegan food. Our vet had some concerns, telling us to make sure there is taurine in the food (which it does).
Flash forward to his most recent vet visit which was last summer. He had to be put under anesthesia for a tooth cleaning and while he was under, the vet gave him a complete physical. When he was picked up, the vet wanted us to confirm his age. 15 years old was the reply. She couldn’t understand where we got that estimate from, surely it must have been wrong. She estimate the age at about 6 or 7 years. Well, we adopted him at a Humane Society as a baby so we knew for sure he was 15 (now 16). All I can say is that the food must have had a huge influence on his “real age” vs. “physical age.” He has a shiny coat, he is healthy, he is active, and he still loves his food. The only concern he has is a recent cracking of his bones of his back sometimes when he is stretching. Luckily, he is not in pain and he still goes on his regular daily gallop/sprint, which sounds like a pack of elephants stamping around the house (this is one of his trademarks, he has always done this).
In terms of moisture concerns or urinary issues, we have not had any. We do not moisten his food. He doesn’t like it that way. But he eats a lot of fruits and vegetables. I didn’t even know that cats liked fruits/vegetables before 1995, but this one aggressively stands firm on his love for them. In fact, he has to have cantaloupe daily, it’s non-negotiable. It has been one of those things where he has demanded it for years. Secondly, he loves bananas, so he gets a couple of pieces per week. And, during the summer months, he gets asparagus spears, which happen to be his #2 favorite thing on earth, next to cantaloupe. He has also been known to steal brocolli off of our plates and run away and eat it too. He is really good at swiftly stealing food, even at 16.
I give this food a 5/5 review because in my experience, it has been like a fountain of youth for my cat, who I adore. I am so happy we were told about this food four years ago, and I will continue to feed it to my cat without reservations.
I have one 6 year old cat who has been eating this vegan since we found him as a kitten. We recently took him to a new vet who commented how healthy he was, and how unusual it was for her to see a cat that’s not obese, but a healthy weight! We have another kitten now who has also adapted well to the food. Highly recommended!
An Indian person adopting a cat is about as unholy and sacrilegious as it gets in Indian circles. Being a vegetarian myself, the burden of religious and personal preference both drove me to quickly look for vegan cat options the moment I adopted the portly Sylvester. I bought the Evolution 20 pounder and started mixing 1:1 with the purina and managed to slowly wean him out of Purina. Now he loves this food and that is all I care about. Wish they would bundle some shipping costs for two bags since at nearly 25% of cost price for shipping, it does get pretty expensive. That said, even if they decided to double the price, I would still pony up and pay.
The two little darlings at my home have been eating this particular cat food since we got them from the local shelter at the ripe young age of 6 months. We chose to switch them over to vegetarian cat food for two reasons: 1) both of us are ethical vegetarians, and 2) we could!
We switched them using the same methods vets have recommended when undergoing any change in diet for felines–slowly mixing them together in differing proportions until all that they eat is the new kind of food. In this way the cats do not undergo any kind of indigestion that might cause them to throw up (those with cats already will understand completely).
But what was the surest sign that we were doing the right thing for our cats? Even on the first day, and for everyday it was given to them after, they ignored the meat-based cat food, eating only the vegetable-based pieces from their bowl! Everyday when I went to feed them in the morning, they would be waiting next to a bowl with meat-food detritus, staring impatiently for the vegetable goodness.
As for their level of health, I have literally never known two cats to be sweeter or more active than these. And I don’t mean chaotic, but playful, pouncy, and sweet. Is it all because of the food? I can’t say to 100% certainty. But know this: when we got the kittens they were shy and scared, seemingly because both only have vision in their left eyes. Now they are more daring than even the most normal of cats.
All this and we don’t have to participate in the inhumane practice of feeding waste animals to our companion friends!
Both our cats absolutely love Evolution kibble. We mix it up with Red Star nutritional yeast and water and they love it even more. They’ve actually torn open the bag to get to it, and when they hear me getting it ready they come running. It’s vegan, so it contains no slaughterhouse by-products, euthanasia solution, carcinogens, or dead animals. Yay!
Every time I run out and get regular kibble or cans, my cats look scruffy and they seem to hate the store-bought stuff and hate me for feeding it to them. On this food for years, my cats are shiny, never gassy, never fat though I leave the food out all the time in a bistro feeder, and their poop ain’t sweet but seems less foul than when on other food. Only down side is that you have to remember to reorder it 2 weeks before you run out because it’s not in any stores. It’s not cheap but with 2 cats a 40 pound bag ($90 including shipping) lasts me about 12 weeks, so under $4 a week per cat, maybe $2 more than Purina, $1 more than Iams and about the same as Blue or Nutro.
Evolution Diet food is by far the healthiest dog and cat food anywhere! I say this because I am living proof this product reversed diabetes in one of my cats caused by the commercial pet food I thought it was “wholesome”. Evolution Diet is the alternative dog and cat food to the commercial poison food sold by all commercial pet foods.
I have been using Evolution Diet for over 17 years now and it reverses and prevents diseases while maintaining strong and healthy immune systems.
Try it, you’ll be glad you did.
Just make sure you transit the food slowly and make sure you ad water to the kibble 1-1 ratio as recommended and directed on the package. It is not recommended to feed dry kibble to cats as some cats, particularly males are predisposed to urinary blockages. Always ad filtered water 1-1 ratio to the dry food. This also keeps your cat hydrated which is very important for maintaining good health. That’s it………..your cat will thank you and will live a healthy, long life, as it should be……
I love it because it’s vegan, my cat loves it because it’s good. I’ve never seen a cat so happy to be fed before, he reminds me of a dog sometimes. He loves this food, and I’m glad that he is eating healthy and that he’s happy.
I’ve been feeding my dog Evolution for a couple years now. I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea at first, but my veganism made me do it! If there had been any adverse effects, I would’ve taken her off right away. I’m not going to subject my dog to my own moralism if it does her harm. The first thing I noticed was that she dove right into her new kibble, so it passed the taste test. Of course, I slowly transitioned her from her other food. As time passed, it seemed that 2 cups total of dry food per day were enough to maintain her weight. I suppose this implies Evolution is very concentrated? She averages between 60-63 lbs throughout the year. I feed her only once in the evening, adding enough water to the kibble to make it stewy. Instead of giving her treats, I merely give her a small handful of kibble out of the two cup total once or twice a day. My dog is now twelve going on thirteen and just passed her senior checkup (blood work, stool and urine check, etc) with flying colors. I don’t dare tell the vet what I’ve been up to. I don’t think she’d approve. I let the checkups speak for themselves.
[T]he 5 lb bag of evolution diet vegan cat food arrived today (very promptly i might add) and as soon as i opened it up my 3-year-old cat was very interested in what i was doing. usually for dry cat food i give her ami cat vegan cat food but it's a little expensive to order it from the states (especially these days what with the exchange rate and all), so i thought i'd give this stuff a try...not me personally, i mean, i thought i'd let my cat give it a try. and i gotta tell ya...she loves it! i just gave her a small scoop to begin with. she devoured it and meowed for more! it's hard to resist her so i gave her a little more. when she was finished eating that i was reading the information on the bag and she came up to the bag rubbing it and purring and trying to get inside (what a funny little monkey). so far at least she seems to really enjoy it. both she and i are very happy with the purchase.
7 lbs chihuahua loves it. She actually enjoys this food more than her old meat based foods.
Super awesome service, food my cats love without cruelty. This is the best!
I have been using the Evolution vegan pet food for my cat Shadow for about a year and she loves it! Especially the cranberry treats I get every shipment. She also likes when I sprinkle on a little yeast. I also add hemp hearts to it as they are a good source of protein for her. She is 11 yrs old and I love her dearly! That is why I don't feed her that slaughterhouse sweepings off the floor. Shadow has never been sick in the time I have had her since she was a kitten, so I must be doing something right? It is time for humanity to awaken and close the slaughterhouses!
My poor bull terrier, Brian, has suffered with skin allergies all his life. My vet and I have tried many different possible solutions. My guess was always that it was food based, as many of the solutions involved changing his diet. I tried every type of hypo-allergenic food and protein type available, fish, duck, lamb, beef, bison, chicken etc. Tried the raw food diet for about a year. The last diet involved me buying and cooking him lamb and rice (last suggestion from my vet). Each time I changed his diet, the allergies would clear up for a bit and then come back full strength. I suspected perhaps he would get relief when the new meat type was introduced and then eventually develop an allergy to that meat type. This inspired me to seek out a vegetarian diet for him. I tried cooking for him myself at first but was concerned that he wasn’t getting all the nutrients he would need. So I searched the net and found the Gourmet Maximum Life Dog Kibble. I am happy to report that more than 6 months in, Brain is better than he has ever been. He’s bulked up nicely and really seems to love the taste. I wish I had figured this out much sooner!!
I order for my 4.5 year old, 80 lb female husky, Aura. She might even be part malamute. The brand I have ordered is called Evolution. I have ordered the Gourmet Fondue line and the Max Life line. I have placed 3 large orders with them to date (4 to 5 of the 40 lb bags) and they have delivered them right to my door. My dog loves the food and is very healthy according to our vet who has over 30+ years experience. All and all, I (and more importantly our furry friend) are very happy with this vegan dog food. Note: I have no financial connections whatsoever with this company. I simply feel that if we can feed our pets vegan food we should. If our furry friend lives another 10 or so years (huskies live on average between 12-15 years) she will go through about 3,000 lbs of dog kibble. Imagine how many chickens/cows etc. would have to die in order to feed her if she were not eating vegan food! She is thriving on vegan food so I would strongly urge everyone to move in this direction.
My previously meat eating puppy absolutely LOVES his Evolution Diet Fondu kibble and I noticed his bad breath went away too! Delivery is fast, the team is very accommodating and the food quality is amazing! So thankful to have found this wonderful company.
