Q. I have concerns about how healthy a Vegetarian Diet is for my Pet. My pet is having some problems and I have been feeding my pet another pet food or Evolution for a while and I'm not sure if it's the food causing the problem.

Q. How hard is it to switch a Dog, Cat or Ferret to Evolution Diet?
A. Easy, Easy, Easy! Just fast the animal for 1 or 2 days and then offer Evolution Diet as the only food. This will help detox your pet and reduce the risk of vommitting or diarrhea which is so common when changing to a new food.
Q. How Can Dogs, Cats and Ferrets live a full Healthy Life on A High Plant Protein Vegetarian Diet? Aren't they Meat Eaters in the Wild?
A. The key to your question is "High Protein Vegetarian Diet". We have observed Dogs, Cats and Ferrets on all Evolution Diet Pet Food Products for almost 20 plus years. We have seen Dogs, Cats and Ferrets thrive and live the very longest and healthiest lives on Evolution Diet. Hundreds of Veterinarians have reviewed the lives of thousands of Evolution Diet fed Dogs, Cats and Ferrets. We have never had one reported blood laboratory studied case of inadequate nutrition by any of the Veterinarians that have reviewed Dogs, Cats and Ferrets on the Evolution Diet.
Q. Isn't it true that Dogs, Cats and Ferrets eat fruits, vegetation and raw meat in the wild? Wouldn't this natural diet be better for my pet then your Vegetarian diet? The meat is missing, how can this be healthy for my pet?
A. Unlike other Plant Based Pet Foods, All Evolution diet Pet Foods have all the proteins found in raw meat, poultry and fish. Dogs, Cats and Ferrets eat fruits and vegetation in the wild, but they also eat other animals. They do not live as long or in as good a state of health living on a Natural Diet! Simply put: DOGS, CATS & FERRETS live longer and healthier in a human home setting on an UNNATURAL DIET! If you consider that Dogs, Cats and Ferrets live only about 1 to 3 Years in the wild while eating raw animal flesh and that these same animals live anywhere from 7 to 22 or even more years in an UNNATURAL Human Home Setting on foods that contain some meat and some vegetables and grains, it becomes obvious that they can live much longer and healthier on an UNNATURAL DIET. Although Evolution Diet is a High Protein Vegan Pet Food and you do not need to add any additional meat protein to it, you can add a small amount of your own Human Grade egg, chicken, tuna or beef to EVOLUTION if you think it is necessary (organic free range preferred). That would be "much better" than feeding your pet the the "Animal By Products" in your current pet food! After 19.5 years of observations, I can tell you ABSOLUTELY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY that Dogs, Cats and Ferrets can and do live a very long and healthy life (on average) with a High Plant Protein Diet that has "NO MEAT AT ALL!"
Q. I think animals need meat. Who would feed their animals Vegetarian pet food?!

Q. I still think a Natural Diet is better for my pet. A natural diet would contain meat, right?
In most cases the Human Pet Person will not allow a Dog, Cat or Ferret to feed on a Natural Diet. Look at the ingredient list on your Current Pet Food. Since when was the Natural Diet of Dogs, Cats and Ferrets Chicken Meal and Fish Meal (Heads, Spines, Intestines, Feathers, Dried Blood, Feet, Cancerous and Infected Body Parts) mixed with grains, vitamins and minerals? The fact is, that if you fed a NATURAL DIET to your Dog, Cat or Ferret, it probably would not live very long! These creatures in the wild often die from bones that puncture their intestines causing them to bleed or infections from their food that cause premature death. Dogs, Cats and Ferrets in the wild die from bacterial and other microbial poisons in the living and dead animal wild foods that they eat. Animals with compromised immune systems do even worse eating raw animal flesh that contain live bacteria and viruses.
Q. Dogs, Cats, and Ferrets need protein that comes from meat. How can a Vegetarian Diet sustain my Dog, Cat or Ferret when Evolution products contain no meat?
When I first started out in 1989, I wasn't sure that an "All Vegetarian High Protein Diet" would sustain a Dog, Cat or Ferret! Evolution fed large and small dogs are living up to 19.5 years. Evolution fed Cats are living up to 21.5 years. Ferrets are living up 13.5 years on Evolution Diet. A few of these animals are living even longer. I now know "for absolutely sure" that all Evolution Diet products can sustain at least a reasonably long and healthy life for all these critters! This makes perfect sense! Sure, Evolution Diet Pet Foods do not contain meat, but they do contain all the same proteins that are in meat, and without the rotting animal heads, spines, guts, dried blood, cholesterol laiden animal fat, and fecal matter that makes up animal meal and other animal by products.
Q. I think I am using a high quality pet food, I'm not conviced!
Consider all the chemicals and disease causing organisms, satuated animal fats, animal cholesterol, animal by products including diseased animals that are in virtually all meat, poultry and fish based pet foods. Consider all the cruelty that is dealt to animals that go into pet foods and human foods. Think about all the damage to our water and environment that is created by factory animal farms.
