Development for Evolution Pet Food Corporation started in 1987 in St. Paul, MN. Founder and CEO, Eric Weisman (a former human physician) started this company after examining what went into conventional pet foods. Eric wanted healthy food for his own pets. Eric found out that only brutaly treated diseased animals and slaughterhouse waste products were and are used for meat, poultry and fish based pet foods in the US and Canada.  Eric found that the US and Canadian Governments do not require pet food companies to disclose that "diseased and not for human use animals" go into pet foods because the Meat, Poultry and Fish Pet Food Industry actually decide what labels have to say about what is in their pet foods.  Most other pet food companies do this to save money and increase profits, but not Evolution Diet Pet Foods. 

The brutal, greedy Meat, Poultry and Fish Slaughterhouse Industry want to get rid of sick animals and waste at maximum profit and the Pet Food and The Farm Animal Feed Industry are exactly where they go to make it.  With Campaign Finance Money, the Meat, Poultry and Fish Slaughterhouse Industry "convince" Legislators and Senators how to decide what the government requires on pet food labels.   

Eric Weisman's Dogs and Cats were having health issues related to the diseased animals and slaughterhouse waste ingredients that were and are used in virtually all other premium and organic pet foods.  Eric decided to make a full line of "cruelty free" pet foods that had and still have absolutely no sick animals or waste parts. Eric worked with Darwin Brightsman, PhD, a World Renowned Animal Nutritionist, to formulate Evolution Diet Pet Foods. 

Evolution Diet Pet Foods and National Health Consulting Service Procedures are not treatments, cures, diagnosis or preventions for any disease.  Evolution Diet can not guarantee that your Dog, Cat or Ferret will live longer or healthier.  We have documented Evolution Diet Fed Healthy Cats at over 20 and Healthy Dogs at over 19 Human Years of age.  Our procedures have not been evaluated by the FDA.   

     Eric was a physician in private practice using Vitamin, Botanical, Nutraceutical & Nutrition Therapy for Humans for a number of Years.  Eric is not a practicing physician , veterianrian or nutritionist, but he is still developing and using "State-Of-The Art Nutrient Based Technology" (combinations of Vitamins, Herbs and Nutraceutical Compounds) to treat Joint, Vascular, Autoimmune Diseases, Liver - Kidney Disorders, Cancers and other Internal Diseases in sick animals that come to the Evolution Diet Rescue.  He shares information about his procedures with other people all over the U.S. everyday.  National Health Consulting Service is not a company, but a service he has operated in St. Paul, Minnesota since 1998. Treating Homeless & Sick Animals he has rescued, seeing people, faxes, e-mails and receiving phone calls at his office, Eric has developed numerous successful Vitamin, Herbal, Nutraceutical Compound Procedures for both internal and external diseases of small animals and people. With some laboratory and surgical assistance from various veterinarians, Eric performs virtually all the procedures at the Evolution Diet Rescue in the Twin Cities.  Again, everyday, people from all over the United States and / or Canada contact Eric for help with their sick animals and sometimes for themselves.

We do not sell any human supplements in conjunction with any of our pet foods.  

     The Totally No-Kill Rescue provides shelter for both homeless and sick animals. Those animals that can not be adopted out are kept indefinitely in a home setting by Eric, Lynn and other volunteers.  Again, Eric did his undergraduate studies in communications, biology, psychology, and sociology at Ryerson Polytechnical University, the University of Toronto and McMaster University.  Eric also earned 2 Diplomats and a Doctorate in post-graduate Health Sciences at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota.  Eric also received a National Board Diplomat for his Post Graduate Work in Health Sciences.

Lynn Crandall-Weisman, President of Evolution Pet Food Corporation (a Vegetarian and Animal Activist), joined the company in 1998 in pursuit of making Evolution the World’s Standard in Quality and Type. Lynn has a background in Business Management from the Metropolitan Technical College, White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She has been instrumental in the company’s growth in sales, new product design and development. Lynn has also been a tremendous asset in all the aspects of the Evolution Diet Pet Rescue.

Evolution was the first company to recommend reduced feeding and the addition of raw shredded fruits and vegetables to the small animal diet. Evolution Diet was the first company to suggest adding extra vitamins, herbs and nutraceuticals to Pet Diets to Reduce Disease Risk and Increase Life Expectancy.

The National Institute of Health concluded a substantial 15 Year Study that proves small animals live at least 30% longer when fed 30% less food over the life of the animal (2002).  That study was conducted in a Laboratory with a pet food of inferior quality to Evolution Diet.  Cats, Dogs and Ferrets can live much longer and healthier in a family home setting with a superior diet.  We are observing up to a 40% increase in life expectancy with Dogs and Cats in Human Family Homes.  Due to the fact that they are in such good health, we expect many of them to live much longer yet. 

Evolution Diet Pet Food Co. Is Now In Its 21st Year and our National Health Consulting Service is in it's 12th Year.  Some Evolution fed large and small Dogs are now living up to 19+ Human Years Old and Evolution Cats are living to 20+ Human Years Old.
